My Daily Bible Study
Join me in my daily Bible study. I do a daily Bible study and I had an idea to make a podcast out of it so if there is a person out there too busy to do their own Bible study they can download this podcast and listen to mine. Remember this is MY Bible study and what the word means to ME. I’m not a preacher or a minister or anything like that. I am just a regular person, a Christian, trying my best to daily live as Christ like as possible and strengthen my faith. I invite you to listen in.

WANT MORE WORD IN YOUR LIFE?
One way to get more word in your life is to listen to music filled with God’s word. Here are 2 of my favorite radio stations:
Air 1 radio station. I listen to them on 90.3 FM, but visit their website http://www.air1.com/ it’s awesome and you can locate the local radio station for your area. If you like KROQ music, you will like the music Air1 plays.
The other music station is The Fish. I listen to them on 95.9 FM radio but visit their website http://www.thefish959.com/ also a great website, and locate the station that is local for you. The music they play here is less like rock, I guess it’s contemporary? I don’t know but I like it.
If you like Gospel Soul music, listen to KJLH radio 102.3 FM on Sundays from noon California time to midnight, or search around in your area. Their website to listen online is http://www.kjlhradio.com/ . This station is owned by Stevie Wonder and it plays a variety of music. Sundays however are devoted to church services in the early morning, and Gospel music from noon to midnight.
If you want to listen to preachers talk, my favorite radio station is KWVE 107.9 FM. Online you can listen at http://www.kwave.com/ . My favorite show come’s on 3:00 pm California time, Pastor’s Perspective. It’s just regular people calling in and asking questions they have. And the pastor’s answer. That doesn’t mean I 100% agree with everything they say, but I learn listening to them and it strengthens my faith.
And of course there are movies to watch! My favorite is The Passion of the Christ. This might be hard for a new believer to watch. It has subtitles so it really helps if you have read Matthew and Luke. The movie is very true to the Bible, including one part where a black man carries the cross for Jesus part of the way to Golgatha. So, for a new believer or one searching for the truth, I really like this movie The Perfect Stranger. It’s about a woman that finds herself on a dinner date with Jesus. It is very good, and then there are sequels all of them a very good. They answer a lot of questions in a down to earth way. The stranger movies are okay for all ages, the Passion of Christ gets very bloody during one scene. It is a very powerful scene, it brought me and most other people in the theaters to tears. It really makes you better understand the beating and pain Jesus went through when he died for us on the cross. This movie had a profound effect on my faith and my life. After watching this movie I felt as though I was cheating Jesus out of what he did for me. I immediately completed my Bachelor’s degree, (7 years after I started) I became licensed with the DRE, and opened my own mortgage company. Now I try to live with purpose, I try to bring glory to him in everything I do. So, I urge you to watch the movie, at least once a year.
